Official candidate statement

Hello, my name is Lynn Bursaw.
I will be running for the Winfield Ward Councilor position in the upcoming District of Lake Country Municipal election on October 17th, 2026.
I feel honored to be a part of the Lake Country community since 2017.
I retired in 2024, after a combined 37-year Nursing career with Interior Health and Alberta Health Services delivering direct patient care, transitioning to specialize in Quality and Patient Safety, Strategic Planning and Project Management for my last ten years.
I'm ready with the energy, passion and skill set to contribute to our community in a meaningful way.
Using my healthcare and management experience I believe that with the Official Community Plan in place along with community input and support we can achieve a sustainable infrastructure for future growth in the District of Lake Country for businesses and families to thrive.
In being successful in my campaign, I would look forward to serving my community in a
greater capacity.
